Baidu Algorithm Update: Breeze 4.0
In order to ensure the user experience, so that the sites that provide high-quality download services can be reasonably ranked, Baidu Search will upgrade the fresh air algorithm in the near future.
For low-quality download stations that do not meet the specifications, it will limit their rankings in Baidu search results.
Baidu encourages developers to provide users with safe and convenient download services.
When users have download needs, the site can directly provide users with real, credible and effective download resources, and provide users with detailed download instructions on the page to help users understand resource information.
Developers are also requested to carry out comprehensive self-examination and rectification of the site content in combination with the following instructions to avoid the site being covered by the algorithm due to illegal content.
Problem type 1: The title indicates that there are download resources, and the actual site cannot directly provide users with download resources.
The title indicates that there are download resources on the page, but the following situations will occur after the user clicks to enter the page:
Scenario 1: The page directly prompts “No resources yet”
The page title is a software download:

There are no download resources on the actual page:

Optimization suggestions:
If the game or APP resources are not currently online, the site cannot provide users with download resources. It is recommended that developers explain in the page title to avoid users clicking by mistake, as shown in the figure:

Scenario 2: The page jumps to another site for download
Before clicking the download button:

After clicking the download button, the page jumps:

Optimization suggestions:
It is suggested that the site can directly provide users with download resources within the page. If you can’t directly provide users with download resources, you need to jump to other pages. Developers should add instructions next to the title or download button, as shown in the figure:

Developers inform users in advance next to the download button that the page will jump.
Problem type 2: The site guides downloading multiple resources without informing users
The site provides users with download resources, but without informing the user, the following situations occur when clicking the download button:
Scenario 1: When downloading resources, you must download a high-speed downloader and do not provide users with ordinary download functions.
After clicking “Download Now”, the downloaded resource is a high-speed downloader:

Optimization suggestions:
In addition to the high-speed download function, the site should also provide users with ordinary download functions, clearly inform users of the difference between ordinary download and high-speed download on the page for users to choose from, and explain that high-speed download needs to be given priority to downloading high-speed downloaders, as shown in the figure:

The page explains the difference between the two download methods for users, and informs users that high-speed downloaders need to be downloaded first.
Scenario 2: Multiple softwares have been bundled up and users cannot undownload them.
When the user downloads one software, the page forces the download of other software, and cannot uncheck:

Optimization suggestions:
Baidu Search allows the recommended software to be checked by default before downloading resources, but users should be able to uncheck according to actual needs independently. After unchecking, they can no longer bundle the recommended software for download.
Question Type 3: The actual downloaded resources do not match the page description.
The site provides users with downloaded resources, but the following situations will occur when the user opens the downloaded resources:
Scenario 1: The page is described as APP1 download, but what is actually downloaded is APP2, even gambling or pornographic APP.
The page before downloading is described as a mobile APP:
The actual download resource is APP2:
Case 2: The page is described as a novel, audio/video download, but the actual download is a novel reader and an audio/video player.
The page is displayed as a novel download:
The actual download resource is the novel player:
Optimization suggestions:
If novels, audio/videos need to be browsed by readers or players, developers should explain them next to the title and download buttons and inform users in advance, as shown in the figure:
The page prompts users to download the novel reader first before downloading.
